August 19th – 6:30pm – 8:00pm – It was a very cold night and also a very slow night for sightings of beavers. One yearling came swimming down from the primary dam and because of the high tide, he didn’t spend any time at the secondary dam before swimming on down the creek towards the third dam. After some time, another yearling came down from the primary dam and took some willow into one of the bank holes. He swam around for a while and then he also went down stream. HP, JR, CR, LB

There was a Great Blue Heron sighted down the creek and also talked with a man who had watched a turtle the night before laying eggs. He was able to get a picture on his cell phone. HP, JR
